FROM INTENT TO IMPACT: Removing barriers to Neuro-Inclusive Engagement in Underrepresented Communities.

19th March 2026

To mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Afrikindness hosted a powerful and thought-provoking webinar focused on removing barriers to neuro-inclusive engagement across schools, organisations, and communities.

One key reflection from the discussion was how cultural nuances and stigma can significantly impact whether individuals feel able to seek support or request workplace and school adjustments. For many, the challenge is not just access to services, but fear of judgement, misunderstanding, or not being believed. This highlights the need for organisations and schools to go beyond policy and actively build trust, cultural awareness, and psychologically safe environments.

We explored how professionals can move from intention to impact by recognising these hidden barriers and adopting more inclusive, responsive, and community-informed approaches when supporting neurodivergent individuals and families.

For organisations and schools, the message is clear:
👉 Inclusion must be felt, not just stated.
👉 Engagement must be intentional, not assumed.

🎥 This recording is a must-watch for organisations, schools, local authorities, and professionals committed to creating truly inclusive and accessible environments.
