Afrikindness is proud to announce that it has been named the winner of the Overall Contribution – Third Sector category at the prestigious Child Friendly Leeds Awards 2026.
Afrikindness was proud to support a group of young people from across Leeds to attend the Youth Conference organised by the Manju Shahul-Hameed Foundation For Mental Health as part of the National Commission for Mental Health – an inspiring event that brought together young leaders, professionals, community organisations and decision-makers to discuss the issues that matter most to young people today.
Afrikindness is an award-winning charitable organisation dedicated to empowering children, young people, parents, and communities through education, safeguarding, neurodiversity awareness, racial identity development, mental health promotion, and culturally responsive community engagement. The organisation works in partnership with statutory agencies, schools, faith groups, and voluntary organisations to improve outcomes for families and build more inclusive communities.
