Leeds, 16th July, 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Afrikindness has received funding from Leeds Community Foundation to deliver a 3-year Digital Inclusion Programme aimed at supporting digitally excluded and isolated parents within Leeds’ diverse communities.

This vital funding will help us embed digital literacy into our wider community support services, empowering parents from African and ethnically diverse backgrounds with the skills, tools, and confidence to thrive in today’s digital society.

Led by Vivian Agbi, our Community Leader and Digital Lead, the project will roll out digital skills workshops across trusted community spaces in LS7, LS8, and LS9 areas, in partnership with Leeds African Community Trust and 100% Digital Leeds.

Our first step is launching a Digital Inclusion Survey, designed to understand the specific digital needs of our communities. This will inform tailored support and targeted interventions to close the digital divide.

Together, we are building stronger, digitally empowered communities. For enquiries, please contact info@afrikindness.org
