Afrikindness Neurodiversity Community Programme
Online Drop-in Sessions
Supporting Parents, Empowering Families
At Afrikindness, we understand that parenting a child with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia etc, comes with unique challenges. That’s why we’ve launched the Neurodiversity Community Programme Drop-in Sessions—a free, supportive space designed to help parents and caregivers navigate available resources and gain confidence in advocating for their child.
Our team of neurodiversity experts provides one-on-one support every Wednesday from 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM. Whether you need guidance, advice, or simply someone to talk to, we are here to listen and help
How We Can Support You
How to Access the Drop-in Sessions
- It’s free to attend.
- Pre-registration is required to book your time slot.
- Each session lasts 30 minutes and is focused on listening to parental concerns and providing initial guidance.
- If further consultation is needed, we can arrange follow-up support
These sessions are culturally responsive, addressing the unique challenges faced by diverse families, including African and Black communities. We recognize the importance of understanding cultural nuances in parenting children with SEND, and we tailor our support to meet the needs of every family.
