The 2024/2025 academic year marked an exciting milestone for Afrikindness as we officially launched the Afrikindness GCSEPod platform—a unique supplementary education programme designed to empower students through independent learning, revision, and structured support.
With 90 dedicated students participating this year, the programme has grown into a powerful hub of academic excellence.
GCSEPod engages learners through its innovative “pod-style” learning approach, offering quick revision, in-depth understanding of school topics, exam-styled questions, and independent study tools such as Check & Challenge. This model has not only helped our students stay ahead in their academics but has also built discipline, focus, and self-confidence.
Dedication that Drives Success
Reflecting on the year, our GCSEpod academic administrator, Tolu Owolabi shared:
“The dedication our students showed was nothing short of inspiring. Week after week, they turned up, engaged, and put in the effort to improve themselves. This consistent commitment is what made it possible for Afrikindness to achieve something remarkable together.”
That “something remarkable” was securing 1st place in the Lightweight Pod Games League—a competition that puts schools and learning groups against each other in their use of GCSEPod.

In the words of GCSEPod (Access Education):
“You’ve secured 1st place in the LIGHTWEIGHT Pod Games league! 🎉🏆 This is an incredible achievement, especially given the tough competition. Your top spot is a clear sign of how brilliantly you’ve embedded GCSEPod into Afrikindness’ learning culture. A huge well done from all of us at GCSEPod!”
Celebrating Our Podders!
This recognition is not just for Afrikindness as an organisation—it belongs to every student and every parent who committed themselves to this journey. We are proud to celebrate all our learners for their hard work and resilience.
