Bio

Lola Olaniyi-Alabi is a highly accomplished trainer, assessor, and educator with a specialisation in health and social care, safeguarding, and neurodiversity support. With over 25 years of combined experience in the UK and Nigeria, Lola has had a profound impact on individuals and communities through her teaching, mentoring, and leadership.

Her extensive career spans both professional and community-based settings. As a Sunday school and Teens Church teacher for 18 years at Winners’ Chapel International UK, Lola has demonstrated her passion for fostering strong, compassionate relationships within faith-based communities. She has consistently used her skills to inspire personal and spiritual growth, making her a trusted mentor for young people and adults alike.

Lola holds a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status, empowering her to educate learners of all ages and backgrounds. In her current role as a Learning Delivery Officer for the Department of Work and Pension, she excels in leadership, digital education, and inclusive teaching, ensuring that individuals have the tools they need to succeed in an evolving educational landscape.

Afrikindness Empowerment Programme

Lola plays an integral role in Afrikindness’ Community Empowerment Programme, where she leads initiatives to improve safeguarding knowledge and practice within African and faith communities.

She joined Afrikindness Community Leaders Cohort/1 in 2024.

Safeguarding Train-the-Trainer Certification

Lola has achieved certification as a safeguarding trainer, equipping her to lead safeguarding initiatives within faith and community settings

Co-Creator of Safeguarding Training Pack for Faith Communities

In collaboration with Voluntary Action Leeds, Lola co-created a tailored safeguarding training pack aimed at empowering faith communities with the knowledge and tools to protect vulnerable individuals

Community and Faith-Based Leadership

Lola utilises the 7 Afrikindness Empowerment Modules to take impactful initiatives into her community, driving the change needed to foster growth, safety, and inclusion
