Temi wanted more than just a birthday. He wanted to make an impact having discovered that some schools do not provide free meals for children. He used the donated funds raised from his birthday pledge to provide free school meals to pupils of Destiny Primary School Makoko Slum area. Makoko is one of Africa’s most unique inner-city slums, with a third of the community built on stilts in a lagoon off the Lagos mainland.
”Not everyone has the privileges that you have. The first thing is to be aware that such is life and the other thing is to do the best you can to help. This birthday is very humbling and I am so glad I had the opportunity to have the party across continents”… Temi says.
