Young People’s Leadership Academy
Educate Kindness and foster positive racial identity development
Our Kindness In Development Stages (K.I.D.S) Academy is a training program delivered to young people (ages 11 – 16) engaging students in critical thinking, self-development, and habit formation. It aims to develop their self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills, preparing students for life challenges while also teaching them the core values vital for school, work, and life success.
The social and emotional learning standard (SEL) framework in the UK focuses on five key outcomes: “being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic wellbeing”. Our work with children reflects the five components of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework enabling children to acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, feel and show empathy, maintain great relationships, and make responsible decisions – skills needed to thrive.

YOUTH-LED PROGRAMMES
Building Power. Shaping Futures. Driving Systemic Change | Ages 15 –18
Our Youth-Led Programmes empower young people, particularly those from minoritised and marginalised communities, to lead change on the issues that matter most to them. Through leadership development, social action, research and mentoring, young people build confidence, skills and influence — shaping decisions that affect their lives, their communities and wider systems.

Mentoring is more important than ever in today’s society. At Afrikindness, our mentoring connects young people with trusted individuals and institutions who have walked the paths they aspire to follow, offering guidance, encouragement and real-world insight.
By coaching and developing the next generation of leaders, we help young people build confidence, purpose and direction — because today’s learners are tomorrow’s leaders, and mentoring has the power to transform lives.
