Afrikindness Neurodiversity Community Programme – One Year On: A Powerful Movement for Change

One year after its launch, the Afrikindness Neurodiversity Community Programme (ANCP) has become a transformative force for culturally diverse families navigating neurodivergence in Leeds and beyond. Born out of a pressing need to address deep-rooted stigma, isolation, and the lack of culturally sensitive support, the programme has empowered parents, engaged schools, trained community leaders, and ignited critical conversations.
From churches to community groups, schools to living rooms, they’ve taken the training they received and transformed it into action. Action that builds trust, addresses inequality, and strengthens protective factors for children and families.
