On 14th December, 2024, Afrikindness concluded the year with a powerful Parent-Teen Workshop that brought together 28 teenagers and 31 parents for a day of transformative learning, bonding, and empowerment. The inaugural Colours of Africa Art Competition, held as part of Africa Awareness Week in England, celebrated creativity, cultural exploration, and diversity. Bempton Primary School emerged as the winner of the Primary School Category Colours of Africa Art Excellence Award
On November 2, 2024, Afrikindness held an impactful Safeguarding Training Workshop for Parents at Winners’ Chapel International, Leeds, drawing a remarkable turnout of over 110 parents and 30 children.
In recognition of World Mental Health Day, Afrikindness hosted a successful workshop on Saturday, 12th October 2024, with community leaders, practitioners and parents coming together to address mental health challenges faced by diverse communities, particularly Black communities.
