Afrikindness, an award-winning community-led charity, was honoured to attend and present at the Leeds City Council Scrutiny Board as part of organisations delivering the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) programme in partnership with 100% Digital Leeds.
Afrikindness, the award-winning community organisation supporting families and young people from underrepresented communities, has successfully completed its Connecting & Protecting Communities Digital Safety and Media Literacy Programme, equipping parents and young people with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the online world safely.
Afrikindness is proud to share the ongoing success of our Digital Inclusion Training Programme, generously sponsored by Leeds Community Foundation through the QFutures Community Fund, delivered in partnership with 100% Digital Leeds. This five-module programme is designed to empower parents with the digital skills they need to thrive—from basic digital literacy to becoming confident, independent, and digitally skilled users.
Afrikindness is proud to have supported over 85 families through the Household Support Fund (HSF) – a Central Government initiative administered by Forum Central. With a grant of £5,000, we were able to provide essential welfare support (£50 food vouchers) to families in our network, particularly those facing financial hardship and multiple vulnerabilities.
